Ace Days are usually scheduled on the first Wednesday of the month from January through October, unless that day falls on a holiday. If play is cancelled due to weather, the Ace Day will be rescheduled for the following Wednesday.
Format is stroke play with each player competing individually for Low Net (Ace), Low Gross, and Low Putts each round. Ties are broken by a scorecard playoff.
A player can only win in one category on an Ace Day. The player with the low net score is that day’s “Ace.” She and the players who score Low Gross and Low Putts qualify to play in the Ace of the Year tournament in November.
The cash entry fee for each Ace Day is $3, to be paid out 1/3 each to that day's winners at the end of play. A player can only win cash in one category each Ace Day.
Once a player has qualified to play in the Ace of the Year tournament, she can continue to win prize money at subsequent Ace Days in that category. However, her score will not be considered when determining who qualifies that month for the year-end tournament. By the end of the season, most players will qualify to compete in one or more prize categories at the tournament..
The player scoring Low Net in the year-end tournament becomes Ace of the Year and shares a $300 cash payout with the Low Gross and Low Putts winners in the tournament.
NOTE: On Ace Days, you must record putts on your scorecard (Golf Genius cannot track putts). Once your group has verified its scorecards against Golf Genius, turn in your scorecards to the Pro Shop. They will calculate the winner of Putts and verify Net and Gross winners for the day.
Each month's winner of Low Net, Low Gross & Low Putts (who has not previously won in that category) qualifies to compete in that category during the Ace of the Year tournament in November.
