GOLF GENIUS

The Westlake LGA league is managed on Golf Genius. Once you become an LGA member the Pro Shop will set you up to receive emails to sign up to play each week. It's also how we keep score in real time, and access our historic scorecards.

When you sign in with your email it will take you to the league portal. On each Wednesday, you will need to enter a unique GGID code assigned by the Pro Shop to enter scores and see the leaderboard.

USGA GHIN

The basic version of this app is free once you have the Pro Shop assigns you a GHIN handicap number. The app has a good "Play with GPS" feature with distance to the center of the green, score keeping and score posting. Other features are handicap lookup for any player in Texas and scorecard history.

A paid upgrade to the Pro version unlocks more features like syncing with your Apple Watch and seeing distances to front and back edges of greens.

INVITED CLUBS

The Club's app has a link to GHIN's "Play Golf With GPS" by pressing the blue button with the + sign on the home screen.

It takes you to a free USGA GHIN app version that shows distances to front, back and middle of green. It does not sync with Apple Watch, or give you other tools like handicap lookup, and the ability to post scores, that the regular GHIN app provides.
